HOTEL REGISTRATION INFO
The convention committee has made arrangements with three hotels to accommodate our attendees in Hartford with discounted room rates. No one hotel had sufficient rooms to house all our attendees. These discount room rates may not be available after June 5, 2009. Please look at the three choices to see which hotel fits your needs. Please note that most HN2009 convention activities and the National Train Show will be held in the convention center. Some activities will be at the Marriott Hotel next to the convention center.

1.The Crown Plaza hotel (50 Morgan Street, Hartford, CT. 06120) is located about five blocks away from the convention center. The hotel offers a special parking rate of $2.00 per car per night.
Free continuous Shuttle service all day each day between the Crowne Plaza and the Convention Center
Rates are $110.00 + tax per night Single or Double Occupancy. Reservations may be made by contacting the hotel directly and identifying yourselves as being with the National Model Railroad Association. You may reserve a room by calling 860-549-2400 or logging on to www.cphartford.com and enter the booking code NMR.

2.The Marriott Hartford Downtown hotel (200 Columbus Blvd Hartford, CT. 06103) is directly connected to the convention center. Current quote for parking at the Connecticut Convention Center is $13 for the day (no overnight) with no in/out privileges, or $18 per day (including overnight) with in/out privileges. Hotel valet parking is $22 per day. (They use the same parking garage.)
The NMRA’s room block commitment has been filled.
Rates are $135.00 + tax per night Single or Double Occupancy. Only a limited number of double rooms are available in this hotel. Reservations may be made by contacting the hotel directly and identifying yourselves as being with the National Model Railroad Association. You may reserve a room, by calling 866-373-9806 or call the hotel directly at 860-249-8000. The booking code is RAI. Reservations can be made on line.
3. The Sheraton Hartford hotel (100 East River Drive East Hartford, CT. 06108) is about three blocks from the convention center (across the river) and offers free outdoor parking.

Rates are $109.00 + tax per night Single or Double Occupancy. (It has been reported to us that the NMRA block is now full, but they still have room available at $179.00 + tax) Only a limited number of rooms are available at this hotel. Reservations may be made by contacting the hotel directly and identifying yourselves as being with the National Model Railroad Association. You may reserve a room by calling 860-528-9703 or 800- 325-3535.
A shuttle bus from the Crown Plaza and Sheraton Hartford hotel to the Convention Center runs about every 5 - 20 minutes July 5 to July 11. Check the schedule at the convention center for the exact times.
PLEASE NOTE: The NMRA has reserved a limited number of discounted rooms in each hotel. Reservations may state that the NMRA room block may have been filled or the type of room you want may not be available in the room block. Please do call the hotel directly to check on rooms that maybe available outside of the room block. Also, check with the hotel sales office to see if they will increase the room block to accommodate you.
