Layout Design SIG LDSIG

Begin your LDSIG convention activities Sunday evening in the SIG

Room by meeting other attendees who are especially interested in

layout design. Hear informal LDSIG-member introductions and a

word or two regarding their layout design and construction status,

plus timely event announcements and networking opportunities.

Meet published authors and respected contributors to various

email lists.

The LDSIG will be holding layout tours for its members. These

tours will include many innovative home and club layouts. You

must be an LDSIG member to participate in this activity.

LDSIG activities within the SIG room are open to all and include

informative displays with track plan diagrams, layout photographs,

-D mock-ups, and priority lists of design features to help

modelers learn how others have solved layout design problems.

Design-related clinic schedules, and descriptions of open-house

layouts for the LDSIG tours will be posted by the SIG. The Layout

Design SIG offers a free design consultation service. Stop by for

an available consultation period. Bring your list of “Givens and

Druthers,” proposed track plans, etc., to obtain valuable help.

Tuesday and Thursday, HN2009 and the LDSIG will be presenting

all day series of clinics focusing on layout design. The clinics will

provide real examples of design challenges and solutions to assist

you in designing your dream layout. All these clinics are open to

all convention attendees.
